Philip E. Brouillet '49

Mr. Philip Emile Brouillet, Jr., age 88, a resident of Chocowinity, N.C., died Friday, February 10, 2012 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice, Greenville, N.C. Mr. Brouillet was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 28, 1923 to the late Philip Emile Brouillet and Mable Barbara Zipp Brouillet. Mr. Brouillet served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee, serving in Okinawa from 1943-45. On February 19, 1988, Mr. Brouillet married the former Rosemary Elizabeth Lynch, who survives. He was a graduate of Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Mr. Brouillet worked on several large construction projects in the state of New York through his career. He was a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers (N.S.P.E.). Mr. Brouillet was a member of Mother of Mercy Catholic Church where he was involved with the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
