Dr. Adrian Pallone '52 '53 '59

Adrian J. Pallone, 83, of Windham, formerly of Andover, MA, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2011 at his home in Windham, surrounded by his loving family. Adrian passed following a long battle with Parkinson's.

Adrian was born in Lille, France. He was raised in Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1946. He attended Brooklyn Polytechnic University where he received his Bachelor's degree, Master's Degree and a PhD in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering. Adrian was a Professor of Aerodynamics at N.Y.U. and worked for over 30 years as Chief Scientist at Avco/Textron in Wilmington until his retirement. He was a fellow in the A.I.A.A. and also attended and received a degree from the M.I.T. Sloan School of Management.

Adrian was 46 year resident of Andover until he recently moved to Windham. While in Andover he was a member of St. Augustine 's Church and more recently was a member of St. Matthew's Church in Windham. He was an avid skier and hiker, had a great love of the outdoors and enjoyed boating and sailing. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather and he will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
